Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou! Debut Single “I wish” Announced
Rin Kurusu, who recently announced her major debut under the Lantis label, will be releasing her first single, “I wish,” on May 24. Additionally, the title track has also been chosen as the OP theme for the TV anime Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou, which is scheduled to begin airing in Japan in April 2023.
Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou, written by Aoi Akashiro and illustrated by Sonshō Hangetsuba, is serialized on Comiplex, a free manga site run by Hero’s Inc. The story centers on Yukito, the heir of a questionable cult’s leader, who is reborn in an alternate world where there is no concept of God or religion. Mitama, the cult’s god, is subsequently summoned to the same world. This unique spin on the isekai genre focuses on creating a religion in a world that has none.
“I Wish” is a song that showcases Rin Kurusu’s clear voice. The lyrics express her strong desire for her wish to come true, and as her first tie-up, the song perfectly matches the world of the anime and is a fitting choice for her debut.
