I made it to the gym 4 days in a row this week. I am not tired, I am not too sore, and I could really go again tomorrow, but I will take the day off. Maybe I will return on Saturday. Today I worked on my abs and my arms. I don’t listen or watch videos/music when I am working on these areas of the body for it is not compliable. But I did end the week on the arc machine again. Only burnt 200 calories on it. Sad! But I got to watch a few videos to get me motivated. As I was leaving the gym, someone was walking into the gym and they looked at me with a terrified expression on their face. When I go to the gym I just roll out of bed and grab the nearest clean tshirt and gym pants and run out the door after coffee. I don’t take a shower, I don’t wear cute outfits, I am there to get sweaty and ugly, and I am sorry if my appearance offends. But I just don’t understand why people at 5am have to take a shower and get all pretty just to workout. Makes no sense to me. #justarant

Would you believe L’arc En Ciel played after Koichi?!? My YouTube algorithm is amazing. This is a very very very old video from the band. I got into them when READY STEADY GO! came out. Not because it was in Full Metal Alchemist, because him and Gackt and a lot of old bands were on a tv show that played music from japan on it. I forget the name, but my local cable provider aired it on the weekends.
Another favorite of mine is #MIYAVI !! This is the latest video. It’s freaking cool!! I am sure I will play it on #iheartjrock this week!
They have a new video premiering any second now, but I enjoy this song a lot. I have been listening to their music at my desk at work. It help motivate me during the last few minutes on my machine.

This is my third day this week going to the gym. Last week I went to the gym 3 days in a row. I am going to beat my last week and go one more day! Today was a bit hard, I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes and it seemed like a lifetime. I used to be able to do a mile in 12 minutes, but now it takes me longer. I like that I can position the machine to go upwards.
Today I watched more videos while I was on the treadmill. I had a double treat of Koichi Domoto live songs from the J Storm youtube page. Playful looked like it was a great live.
I am a fan of this song too! It’s actually on the Playful cd. I bought it and enjoyed it a lot. Koich Domoto is one half of Kinki Kids, he is not related to Tsuyoshi Domoto, but they are very close and could be.
The J Storm youtube page put out 2 videos since I posted the last one.
The Gazette are my go to band and the gym. When I first started going to the gym about 10 years ago. Their music is very fast and very heavy. Most of the lyrics are in Japanese. I won’t discuss the song content, but it rocks !!
SixTONES are amazing! I love their music a lot. I get requests for them every week. Special Order live from live tour Onest is a lot of fun! I love watching it.
I am so happy for Miyavi! I’ve followed him since 2015, I joined his fan club. I’ve seen him live, 3 times. I got to take my photo with him 2 times. The time I won a contest on facebook, and the second time I got to by being in the fan club. I saw him a few times in NYC and once in Boston. Miyavi has been in movies, he models all the time, does music for animes, he is also a super hero.
kyo, lead singer of DIR EN GREY one of his side projects is called sukekiyo. It’s an awesome electronic synth pop band. I love this band! All their songs are so amazing!

Even tho I felt like I worked a whole week in one day yesterday, I bounced out of bed and got ready for the gym. I usually have 2 cups of coffee and a bathroom break before I leave the house. I had extra pep at the gym this morning, and spent a bit longer on the elliptical machine. It would be nice if there was an outdoor gym in my area, but at 5am, it would be really scary.
I used to use the row machines, it was tucked away in a side room at the gym. Now they are out front for the whole world to view. My social awkwardness makes me not want to use these machines, I don’t need to be told I am doing it wrong by someone, because someone has to say something about everything.

Mondays are always tough. No matter how long the weekend was, when you go back to the gym the next morning, it’s a struggle. Doesn’t help the gym is hot and filled with people like you, hating the fact it’s Monday, ate and drank way to much during the weekend, etc. etc. Unless your a die hard fitness person. That’s a whole other blog.
I just did cardio for 30 minutes on the lower body arc trainer, 30 mins is a struggle but I got to burn off some calories and feel my muscles work so I was happy.=. I have no time to squeeze in anything else these days.
#ENDRECHERI is still spinning in my mind so I took a few of his songs to listen to in the background while I struggle.
This upbeat song gets you moving! It’s very sexy and soothing.
Not really so much a song to get your cardio on, but a beautiful song. It was released in 2006 but until recently not available on streaming services. We were lucky to have it reissued on stream just in time for Cherry Blossom season in Japan. Which this song is about looking at the cherry blossoms with his mother and for the lonely people in the world.

Oblivion Dust are having their 25th anniversary this year. This is a clip from the SAYONARA Zepp Tokyo performance. It was streamed live and I got to watch it over and over again for about a week afterwards. I loved it so much and I miss it terribly. It was a great show, lots of great songs.
