Welcome back to SakuraUnderground! Sorry for the delay. This episode was recorded at the VFR studios on Oct 5th. DJ Silent dives into a few tracks from Killing Joke’s self titled album “Killing Joke” and Radiohead‘s Kid A. Each released around the same time, years apart (20 years)
But first starting out the set with a super Moog infused number called “Popcorn” covered by a band called Hot Butter. The original was released in 1969 by Gershon Kingsley. Talk radio host Art Bell, also used bits of this track.
Old Killing Joke up next with a block of punk rock and new wave. The Wait, Wardance and Bloodsport (which is instrumental)
Selections from Kid A are The National Anthem/Everything in it’s Right Place, and Idioteque. A flash to the past for the DJs, listening to it non stop when it was released in 2000.
Moving on to Edward Ka-Spel’s Tanith and the Lion Tree, Ka’spel’s voice is so unique, we had to share.
Requests for Daichi Miura’s Horizon Dreamer, from the video game “Death Stranding 2” and also Fallout from PIG new single from him.
Ending the show with some songs from DJ Sakura666 which were also requests
Number_i INZM Hyper Band ver.
